Retailers report surge in Saorview sales

With just four days to go until the analogue TV service is switched off, retailers have reported a recent surge of people panic buying Saorview boxes.

The Department of Communications has spent over €1.2m on a major information campaign.

However, despite that it is estimated that that 100,000 people still haven't made the switch.

The Analogue TV signal will be switched off on Wednesday, meaning people still using an aerial will see their TV screens go blank.
