Troika in Dublin for latest review
on 15/10/2012 07:39:00
This week marks the eighth review of how Ireland is complying with the terms of its bailout deal.
Officials from the International Monetary Fund, the European Union and the European Central Bank will be spending several days working at the Department of Finance.
There has been plenty of controversy lately surrounding public sector allowances and the Croke Park deal and today it is reported that the Troika will also be taking a closer look at the agreement too.
According to the Irish Times, officials have concerns about how much the government is saving through the terms of the deal.
It is also claimed that the coalition's way of going about achieving overall savings targets is of concern to the Troika, even though those targets are being met.
