Five arrested after Ennis incident

Five men have been arrested after an incident in Ennis this evening in which three cars were damaged including a Garda patrol vehicle.

Two people have been taken to hospital for injuries from the incident, which happened at the Maid of Erin 6oundabout at around 6pm.

Gardaí have confirmed that five men ranging in ages from late teens to their forties have been arrested on road traffic offenses, public order offenses as well as possession of offensive weapons.
