Post mortem on woman's body found in Cork

A post mortem is taking place on the body of a woman in her early 40s, which was discovered in a house in Cork city last night.

The discovery was made at a house on Clifden Terrace on Summer Hill North at around 9.30pm.

It is believed the woman was found at the bottom of the stairs.

Gardaí say no arrests have been made and they will await the results of the post mortem before deciding what course of action their investigation will take.
