Four arrested and gun seized in Crumlin

Four men have been arrested and a gun has been seized in an operation in the Crumlin area of Dublin.

A telescopic sight and firearm component parts were also recovered in the swoop on Captain's Road yesterday afternoon.

Officers from the detective units in the Southern Division of the Dublin Metropolitan Region were involved in the operation.

The men arrested range in age from their late teens to early 20s.

They are being detained at Crumlin, Sundrive Road and Terenure Garda stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
