AIB increase variable mortgage interest rate by 0.5%

AIB has announced a 0.5% increase in interest rates on its standard variable mortgages, bringing the rate to 4%.

It will add an estimated €60 a month onto a €200,000 mortgage.

The move follows another 0.5% hike in September.
