Ashley's company set to buy JJB Sports

In the UK struggling retailer JJB Sports has found a buyer - its rival Sports Direct.

It is believed a deal has almost been reached for the sale of 60 stores.

Mike Ashley, who also owns Newcastle United, is believed to be willing to pay £30m.

The agreement would safeguard 1,500, a third of the JJB Sports workforce.
