Irish Catholic newspaper blasts 'rude' Taoiseach

Taoiseach Enda Kenny, who was long famed for his loyalty to the old fashioned Nokia 6310 handset, seems to have upgraded recently to an iPhone.

He has been spotted with the gadget at the All-Ireland on Sunday and now pictures have emerged of him, with the Pope in Italy last week, playing with the phone.

In fact, when everyone else stood to acknowledge Pope Benedict at the end of his address, Mr Kenny was unable to applaud because the phone was in his hand.

Now the Irish Catholic newspaper has blasted his behaviour, calling it "rude".
