Senator Crowne latest to support under fire Reilly

A prominent senator has added his backing to the support for Health Minister James Reilly despite the continued criticism, from many areas, towards the minister's performance.

Professor John Crowne's comments come following claims from Fianna Fáilduring the week, of a fractured working relationship between the Health Minister James Reilly and the Junior Health Minister Roisín Shortall.

Minister Shortall refused to state her confidence in him during a speech but voted in his confidence during a Dáil motion.

Senator Crowne says the controversy surrounding the cuts in the Health Sector is a matter of politics and not ability.
