200,000 still using analogue signal as TV switchover nears

National Switchover Week is being launch today, which aims to encourage everyone to get informed and make the switch to digital TV and not leave it until the last minute.

Figures show that 93% of people are now aware of the switchover, with 96% living in rural areas also aware.

However, there are still 200,000 people using the analogue signal as their primary source of TV viewing, who need to make the switch.

A week of events around the country will come to a close just one month before the analogue TV network in Ireland is switched off at 10am on Wednesday, October 24.
