Body identified as missing man Butler

The body of a man, taken from the river Liffey at Victoria Quay in Dublin yesterday at about 6pm, has been identified as that of missing man Paul Butler.

He was 44 years old.

Paul, who was originally from Wexford, was last seen on Stevens Lane, Dublin 8, at approximately 8.30pm on the Saturday, September 8.

Gardaí are treating the incident as a personal tragedy.
