Airtricity announces price increase

Airtricity is to increase its gas and electricity prices from next month.

Following price increases from of Bord Gais and ESB-Electric Ireland, Airtricity said it would raise its gas prices by 8.5%.

The cost of electricity will rise by 4.7%.

Airtricity says it is not increasing prices for customers who have had difficulty paying bills and are on pre-pay meters.
