Putin admits staging wildlife stunts

Russian Premier Vladimir Putin has admitted his famous wildlife stunts are staged.

The hard man of politics is regularly pictured horse riding, hunting and fishing but he's now conceded he puts it all on for the cameras.

His defence according to Reuters news agency is that it was worth doing, because the snaps drew the public's attention to important conservation projects.
