Tensions in the Middle East - in response to an anti-Islam film - show no sign of abating.

In Yemen, hundreds of protesters chanted "death to America" and managed to pull a gate down at the US facility compound.

In Egypt, riot police clashed with demonstrators and hundreds took to the streets in Iraq.

On Tuesday, the US Ambassador in Libya was killed following an attack on the consulate there.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has denounced the film that has sparked the violence.

"Let me state very clearly and I hope it is obvious that the United States Government had absolutely nothing to do with this video"
