Taoiseach wants maximum savings from Croke Park deal

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has asked Cabinet ministers to maximise the savings which could be made in the public service under the Croke Park Agreement.

Mr Kenny wants departments to speed up the implementation of the agreement over the coming months.

He told Cabinet ministers at their weekly meeting yesterday that he wants more savings to be made from the public pay bill.
