Tram crash leaves 36 injured in Amsterdam

Two trams have collided near a busy railway station in Holland, leaving 36 passengers injured.

Carla Vermeulen, a spokeswoman for the HTM public transport network, said one tram slammed into the back of the other close to Holland Spoor station in The Hague.

Ms Vermeulen said four of the injured were taken to hospital by ambulance. None of the injuries are believed to be serious.

The cause of the collision is being investigated.
