Post mortem due after drowning in Cork

A post mortem will be carried out later on the body of a 19-year-old man, who drowned in Co Cork yesterday.

The teenager was swimming in the Blackwater River in Mallow with the group of friends, when he got into difficulty.

A search operation was launched shortly before 6pm and the man's body was recovered around an hour later.

It is believed the deceased man was from the local area.
