Dead body reported at Dublin apartment

An apartment has been sealed off in Dublin city centre this evening, as Gardaí investigate reports that a dead body has been found.

Gardaí say they were called to the apartment on Prussia Street in Stoneybatter earlier today and what they found there led them to believe that the discovery was suspicious.

Gardaí have called in the services of the State Pathologist and will not be in a position to confirm the reports until a preliminary examination has been carried out.

The Garda Technical Bureau has also been called in and the scene is to be forensically examined.
