Bantry death: Man taken from custody to hospital

A man arrested by gardaí in connection with the death of an Englishman in Cork has been admitted to hospital.

The man in his 70s was arrested shortly after the discovery of the body of the 53-year-old in Bantry yesterday.

During questioning by gardaí last night the man complained of feeling unwell and was taken to hospital.

Gardaí are in contact with the hospital in relation to the man's condition.

Meanwhile, a post mortem is taking place on the body of the deceased man at Cork University Hosital.
