Man killed in Clongriffin attack

One man has been shot dead and a second was seriously injured in a gun attack in north Dublin.

It happened at Grange Lodge Ave in Clongriffin at around 3.30pm this afternoon.

Both men were brought to Beaumont Hospital where one of them, aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead.

The second man is being treated for his injuries.

Gardaí say they're examining a burnt out car found a short time later on the nearby Hole in the Wall Road.

Both scenes are sealed off pending a forensic technical examination.
