Gilmore to launch dementia initiative

It is hoped a new community-driven project will help dementia sufferers avoid having to go into care.

The Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore will be on hand today to launch the initiative, entitled "Living Well With Dementia".

It aims to create support networks within the community to help those with the condition to stay in their own homes.
