Denver shooting suspect James Holmes faces court

The man accused of one the worst multiple shooting in US history is appearing in court now.

Prosecutors say the 24-year-old suspect James Holmes, who appeared in court with bright orange-dyed hair, could face the death penalty if found guilty.

Holmes sat expressionless and appeared dazed as the judge in Denver advised him of his legal rights.

Twelve people were killed and 58 others were injured when a gunman went on a shooting rampage at a cinema in Denver last Friday.
