Arson attack sees Derry homes lose electricity service

An arson attack on an electricity sub station has left parts of Derry in darkness.

The fire last night caused substantial damage to the equipment at Daisyfield Park and affected power supply to parts of the city.

Fire service and police came under attack from a group of youths throwing stones and bottles.

Detectives appealed for anybody with information to contact them.
