Martin: Coalition row 'could damage economy'

The Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin has said the budget row between Fine Gael and Labour is undermining the Taoiseach's authority.

Mr Martin said divisions between the Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore and Leo Varadkar will also damage consumer confidence.

Earlier Mr Gilmore reprimanded the Transport Minister Leo Varadkar for suggesting that public service pay increments should be deferred to save money.

The Fianna Fáil leader has said the rift between the Government parties could damage the economy.
