Talks between the Government and union leaders have adjourned for the night.
Earlier Government officials revealed that job cuts across the public sector are on the cards.
The reruitment freeze in the public service is to continue, but it's not known for how long.
Peter McLoone of the Impact unions said an alternative to job cuts must be found.
